Export Bahrain announces winners for Bahrain’s Creative Business Cup 2024

Export Bahrain and the Creative Business Network organized the first edition of the Bahrain Creative Business Cup 2024, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Trade and Chairman of Export Bahrain, in collaboration with Bahrain Development Bank and The collective hub.

The event, organized by Export Bahrain, marked a pivotal moment in championing the growth and global reach of Bahrain’s vibrant industries and culture.

This event is a strategic initiative to strengthen Bahrain’s position on a global scale and encourage startups to refine their offerings to meet or exceed internationally recognized standards.

By showcasing Bahraini startups, the event supports their inclusion into a global community of startup experts and mentors, fostering valuable connections that transcend borders.

It aimed to catalyze the Bahraini economy and create pathways for project development in partnership with leading investors, companies, accelerators and startups around the world.

Furthermore, the event is a cradle for innovation, promoting collaboration between major global companies and startups to meet specific innovation needs, strengthening the creative business concepts and competitiveness of Bahrain-based entrepreneurs.

The Creative Business Cup has paved the way for Bahraini startups to not only participate in the global market, but also profoundly influence it.

The event provided an unparalleled platform for five local talents from the Creative Industries, Sustainable Development and Social Impact sectors to showcase their skills and compete for the opportunity to qualify for the global finals.

Panel discussions

In addition to the competition, several panel discussions and awards ceremonies were held in recognition of the efforts of the participants as part of the event activities to promote entrepreneurial spirit within the Kingdom.

The startups presented themselves before a jury consisting of a number of esteemed regional and local judges, including Mr. Omar Al-Shabaan, CEO of The Garage KSA, Mr. Suhail Algosaibi, Chairman of Tenmou, Mr. Safa Sharif, Co-founder of WSI Consulting , Mr. Sam Yearsley, Head of Venture Building Spring Studios and Ms. Marwa Aleskafi, Director of Programs and Partnership Development at Tamkeen.

After a careful evaluation session by the jury, Mr. Mohammed Abdellaal of Silent Power stood out and was awarded first place, earning the honor of becoming the representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain at the CBC Global Finals in Copenhagen, Denmark, June 2024.

Important achievement

Mr. Mohammed Abdellaal expressed his delight at this significant achievement, commenting: “We at Silent Power are honored to be recognized for our innovation and efforts and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in such an event.
