Yozakura Family episode 3 recap and spoilers

Mission: Yozakura Family episode 3, ‘Feeling’, aired on Sunday, April 14, 2024. After completing his first mission, Asano realizes the danger Mutsumi is in and requests training to help her as her husband.

The episode opens with Asano having a dream where Mutsumi is kidnapped and he is powerless to stop them. He meets Futaba to ask her to train him, but she refuses, telling him that it wouldn’t be easy for ordinary people. Asano begs her to reconsider, and she makes him an offer. She tells him to stay at the mansion for a month, and then he can start training. He agrees; As he walks out of the room, a hatch opens and she tells him that the house is full of traps, which he must survive.

He is then introduced to the activities of the Yozakura family, from exploding alarm clocks to poisoned meals. However, his biggest challenge yet turns out to be the bathroom, which he couldn’t avoid. Shion tells Taiyou that he must be accepted by the mansion to disarm the traps, and that would normally take two years for a normal person. He goes to school with Mutsumi wearing a 30 kg shirt, which prevents him from reacting much to people.

Later that night, he sees Mutsumi sleeping on a table and covers her with a blanket. He then goes outside to practice his shooting skills. Mutsuri arrives and invites him to have tea with her. She tells him not to worry too much as he has been protecting her for a long time. The episode then reveals her past, as she and Taiyo were initially nothing more than neighbors.

But after saving her from school bullies who try to cut her hair because it is two different colors, she comes to appreciate him. After a while, Taiyou becomes accustomed to the Yozakura family mansion and skillfully avoids the traps. He is greeted by Shion and Shinzo, who are pleased with his progress so far. He then meets with Nanao to continue his training on poison.

The next day, Taiyo has breakfast with the rest of the family. Mutsumi is impressed with how far he has come in just three weeks. However, after drinking poisoned milk, he rushes to the bathroom, which he still has difficulty unlocking. Kengo warns everyone that he has fainted, and they rush him to the infirmary. Futaba tears off the fake skin from his body to reveal the injuries he had hidden.

She tells him that people who cannot take care of themselves will never be able to take care of others. Before she leaves, she gives him a book on code breaking. She can’t hide her excitement as someone like Taiyou, who loves Mutsumi so much, would be the perfect person to protect her. Later, he is finally able to unlock the bathroom and is now recognized as a full-fledged member of the family.
