Met Gala 2024: Priyanka Chopra is skipping the annual agal event

Global icon Priyanka Chopra confirmed that she will not be attending the Met Gala 2024. The actor who is currently shooting for ‘Heads of State’ revealed in an interview that she is skipping the annual event this year as she is currently filming.

During an interview with Access Hollywood, Priyanka, who is promoting the new documentary Tiger, was asked about this year’s Met Gala event and whether she is looking forward to anyone in particular’s attendance.

While talking about the same, the actor said, “I don’t even know who is going this year. I’m definitely not there this year because I’m filming, but I think I’m really enjoying seeing people’s creativity at the Met Gala and I’m really excited to see how it turns out. I haven’t actually read anything yet about who is going this year.”

Met Gala holds an important significance in Priyanka Chopra’s life. It was during the annual gala event in 2017 that the actor walked the red carpet together with husband Nick Jonas.

The 2024 Met Gala will take place on Monday, May 6 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. It marks the opening of the Costume Institute’s exhibition entitled ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.’ The theme this year is The Garden of Time.
