The Mumbai Crime Branch searches the Tapi River in Surat for weapons

Mumbai (Maharashtra) (India), April 22 (ANI): In a recent development regarding the shooting incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence on April 14, the Mumbai Crime Branch has reached Surat to search for the gun used by the accused used when shooting at the actor’s home. house.
During interrogation, the suspects told the crime branch that after committing the crime, they threw the gun into the Tapi river of Surat.
The two men, who came on a motorcycle, fired four bullets outside the Galaxy Apartments, where the actor is staying, at around 5 a.m. on the morning of April 14 and fled. CCTV footage showed both suspects wearing caps and carrying backpacks.
Escalating the investigation into the shooting case at the residence of Bollywood actor Salman Khan, the Mumbai crime branch on Saturday said three new sections have been added to the FIR against the suspects.
Sections under IPC 506(2) (threatening), 115 (sedition) and 201 (tampering with evidence) have been added to the case. Mumbai Crime Branch officials announced that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi have been declared wanted suspects in connection with the case.

Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the shooting outside Salman Khan’s house in a Facebook post after the attack.
Earlier, Kutch police arrested the two suspects and handed them over to the Mumbai Crime Branch. Later, a city court sent the two suspects to the custody of the Mumbai Crime Branch till April 25 in connection with the shooting incident.
The suspects, identified as Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21) from Bihar, were produced before the court after medical examination.
Earlier on April 15, Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz Khan released a statement on Instagram on behalf of their family. In the post, Arbaaz stated that the specific “disturbing” incident has impacted the family.
“The recent incident of two unidentified persons firing at a motorcycle at the Galaxy Apartment, the residence of the Salim Khan family, is deeply disturbing and unnerving. Our family is surprised by this shocking incident that has occurred. Unfortunately, some people claim that being close to our family and pretending to be the spokesperson, have made loose statements to the media saying that it is all a publicity stunt and that the family remains unaffected, which is not true and that this views should not be taken seriously,” the statement said.
Arbaaz also said that the family is fully cooperating with the Mumbai Police in investigating the case. (ANI)
