In the context of the screening, dentists who are members of İZDO met with students from high school, primary school and kindergarten, treated the students one by one and also conducted an oral examination.

Melis Daraoğlu Gürel stated that children should be made aware of it from an early age so that they can have healthy teeth. “As İZDO, we have conducted oral and dental health examinations for our children, who are the adults of the future. What is a healthy tooth for them? How does a hole form? How to eat healthy? How should teeth be brushed? “We provided detailed information by asking several questions, such as,” he said.

Gürel said: “Teeth should be brushed for two minutes every day after breakfast and before going to bed. The right and balanced diet is also very important. Particular attention should be paid to the consumption of yogurt, milk, vegetables, fruits and meat, which strengthen the bones. It is necessary for dental health to stay away from acidic and sugary drinks and foods. “Every child should go to the dentist and have a check-up every six months,” he said.

Melis Daraoğlu Gürel, who answered students’ questions at the event, added that they gave toothbrushes and toothpaste as gifts to all students for whom they conducted oral exams.
