Yoon promises that South Korea will be among the top three in the country in science and technology

SEOUL, April 22 (Yonhap) – President Yoon Suk Yeol vowed Monday to nurture the science and technology sector to make South Korea one of the world’s top three countries in this field.

Yoon made the pledge during a ceremony marking Science, Technology and Information and Communications Day at the Gwacheon National Science Museum in Gwacheon, just south of Seoul.

“We will concentrate investments in the three key game-changer technologies: artificial intelligence and semiconductors, advanced bio and quantum technologies, and carry out strategic cooperation with our allies to nurture and push the Republic of Korea to become a top three become science and technology. technology nation in the world by 2030,” he said.
