Clarksville Area Pets of the Week for April 22, 2024 – Clarksville Online

Clarksville, TN – Each week, Clarksville Online brings you pets from rescue organizations in need of good homes in Clarksville-Montgomery County and surrounding areas. This week’s pets are for the week of April 22, 2024.

Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations and fundraising assistance and other family-friendly activities.

Montgomery County Animal Care and Control

Maxie is a young female German Shepherd. She has been fully vetted and will be spayed before going to her forever family. Maxie is a little shy at first, but quickly warms up and loves to walk. She gets along well with other dogs and knows a number of commands. Come for a meet and greet, take this sweet girl for a walk and fall in love with your new best friend! Roscoe is a 2 year old adult German Shepherd. He has been fully vetted and is looking for his forever home. Shepherds need to be involved and part of their family and do not do well in a kennel for long periods of time. Please come see him and take him out for some interaction and see what a handsome, smart boy he is.

NOTE: Please do your due diligence on this breed if you are not familiar with owning it. They are herding dogs and very family oriented. They are extremely intelligent, they make great pets, but they do need an owner who is comfortable being a calm but determined alpha leader. They do best with non-aversive and consistent ongoing training and correction and love to have a ‘job’ whatever it may be.

Finders Keepers Cat Rescue

Chip and Dale are the cutest duo! Chip is the gray and white boy and Dale is black and white. They are very close brothers and should be adopted together. They are fully vetted, neutered and house trained. They get along great with other cats, but completely entertain each other and are a total comedy show!

Stewart County Cat Adoption Team (CATS)

Dutchess is a 2 year old female Flame Point. She is spayed, fully vetted, house trained and is just a super sweetheart. She has been dewormed and is receiving flea and tick prevention. She gets along well with children and other cats.

Stewart County Faithful Friends Animal Rescue

Shamrock is a 2-3 year old female Black Labrador mix. She is fully vetted and neutered, keeps her kennel very clean and absolutely loves to play! She still has that puppy energy, but plays well with her best friend Drako at the rescue. She plays hard, but settles down when she’s done. She would make a great jogging partner and loves going on adventures!

Companion Pet Rescue of Middle Tennessee

Loki is such a handsome 2 year old male German Shepherd. He is fully vetted, neutered and kennel/potty trained. Loki prefers a calm energy environment. He prefers older, calm children and older or less energetic dogs. Loki is working on his self-confidence and separation anxiety and needs a sturdy wire kennel when left alone.

He can stay in the kennel for short periods of time, but absolutely cannot stay in a kennel/or be left alone all day. He would benefit from a family with breed knowledge and a willingness to continue his training and help with his self-confidence. He would prefer someone who is home most of the time or who works from home and can take him outside to exercise all day long.

Two ladies caring dog rescue

Tootsie is a 2-year-old female Goldendoodle. She is fully vetted, weighs 26 pounds, will be spayed on April 22nd and is house trained and uses a doggy door. She gets along well with children and other dogs. Tootsie takes some time to warm up to you, but once she does, she’ll be your best friend!

Enoki is a two-year-old domestic shorthair. He is fully vetted, neutered and house trained. Enoki needs some time to settle in and get comfortable, but once he does, he’ll curl up with you, follow you, and sleep with you. With the right introduction he does great with other cats.

Phoebe is an adult Australian Cattle Dog and Heeler mix. She is fully vetted, spayed, good with other dogs and house trained. She also gets along great with cats and children. She knows basic commands and enjoys chewing on sticks and her toys. Phoebe heads to her new home with some of her favorite toys. She is a lover and cuddler and loves being with her people.

Winnie the Pooch is a 5-year-old female Boxer/Labrador Retriever mix. She is friendly, affectionate, gentle, funny and kind of a couch potato! Winnie is HW positive and is currently being treated. She is now available for “FOR ADOPTION” so when she is done with treatment she will be ready to go to her forever home.

She is spayed, fully vetted, microchipped and receives HW and flea/tick prevention. Winnie is house trained and gets along well with children and other dogs.
