Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi accused in Salman Khan House arson case

Mumbai: Mumbai Police have implicated jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in the recent shooting incident targeting Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence. Two suspects, Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21), have been arrested in connection with the case. Investigations show that they have links with the Bishnoi gang.

The gunmen, riding a motorcycle, fired four shots outside Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai’s Bandra area around 5 a.m. on April 14 before fleeing. Gujarat authorities arrested Gupta and Pal two days later.

During interrogation, the suspects confessed that they were hired by the Bishnoi gang. Police have identified Anmol Bishnoi, brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, as a key figure in the case and he is currently on the run.

Authorities are considering issuing a lookout notice for Anmol Bishnoi and demanding his custody. The investigation revealed that the motive behind the shooting was to sow ‘terror’.

The case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including criminal intimidation, abetment to an offense punishable with death or life imprisonment, and destruction of evidence.
