National Geographic India’s ‘One for Change’ initiative promotes sustainable living on Earth Day

The brand initiative advocates a positive impact on the environment through small individual actions, highlighting how just one small action from everyone can have a huge impact. This season, National Geographic India presents five thought-provoking stories that highlight the need for change in our lives from the perspective of the animal kingdom.

The films hope to encourage viewers to make a change in their daily lives by shedding light on wildlife species’ struggles against deforestation, climate change, plastic pollution, water scarcity and air pollution.

Each video raises awareness of pressing global issues, such as the staggering amount of plastic in our oceans, the loss of millions of hectares of forests, the melting of trillions of tons of ice, droughts and deteriorating air quality around the world. These hard-hitting films take viewers on an emotional journey and inspire them to take action now and implement sustainable practices in their daily lives.

“At National Geographic, our rich legacy of 136 years of authentic and powerful stories has captivated audiences and inspired them to care about the world in new ways. In Season 3 of the ‘One for Change’ initiative, we present a fresh perspective and provide insights through the eyes of wildlife as we witness the rapid destruction of their habitats. We also provide individuals with actionable tips to live a conscious life, creating positive change one step at a time. This Earth Day, we are shedding light on the grim realities we face and how each of us can contribute to a better future for our planet,” said Gaurav Banerjee, Head of Content, Disney+ Hotstar & HSM Entertainment Network, Disney Star.
