Health Minister urged to provide clarity on the decision behind the Offaly Hospice site

Stephen Donnelly will soon make a choice between the two locations.

The Health Minister is being urged to provide a rationale for the choice of a site for a new Offaly hospice.

Stephen Donnelly has yet to choose the final location for the 20-bed facility, but will soon decide on a site at Arden Lane or the Wellwood Healthcare Campus in Tullamore.

An independent scoring matrix found Arden Lane was the superior location, but Minister Donnelly says he is unhappy with the results.
