Simone Ashley from Bridgerton shines in a cool crochet dress during holiday

Simone Ashley, best known for her role as Kate Sharma in Bridgerton, has swapped her corsets for crochet ahead of the summer season.

Sharing on her Instagram Story with her 3.4 million followers, Simone stunned in a sold-out dark green crochet midi dress from Loewe as she soaked up the sun on holiday. The dress featured oversized gold hanging coins and a contrasting red line around the waist. The actress sat overlooking an idyllic ocean view and clear blue sky – we are so ready to book our holiday now.

With no shoes and a pair of simple silver earrings, Simone kept the rest of her styling simple and let her dress do the talking, and it really worked. We can’t get enough of this Loewe number and are already on the hunt for a dupe from the high street.

Crochet was extremely popular last summer and we expect the retro-inspired trend to continue for another season. After Chloé’s boho-chic catwalk, we have already seen a trend increase and expect even more for summer. Think frills and frills, but a more grown-up version than we’ve seen before.
