The investigation into the recent shooting outside Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai is progressing and new developments are coming to light. After the arrest of the two gunmen, Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, the Mumbai crime branch has shifted focus to Surat, Gujarat.

The Crime Branch has launched a search operation in Tapi River to recover the firearm used in the shooting incident at Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments on April 14. According to ANI, the Mumbai Crime Branch team is operating in the riverbed in search of the weapon.

The agency said, “A team from the Mumbai Crime Branch reached Surat to search for the pistol used by the suspect in firing at the residence of Bollywood actor Salman Khan.” The suspects confessed during interrogation that they threw the weapon away in the Tapi River after the crime.

Reacting to the incident, Salman’s brother Arbaaz Khan posted the family’s first statement about the terrifying event on Instagram on April 15.
