Eastern Michigan University is ranked #1 in Michigan and #9 in the U.S. as a military and veteran-friendly campus

YPSILANTI, Mich., April 22, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — For the seventh year in a row Eastern Michigan University ranks among the nation’s best of the best military and veteran-friendly universities, ranked No. 1 in Michigan and No. 9 in the US for 2024-2025.

In its 14th year the Military friendly® Schools list provides a comprehensive guide for veterans and their families, using data from federal agencies, veteran students, and survey information from participating organizations.

In 2014, Eastern Michigan University has made its inauguration military and veteran support centerand then dedicates it to the memory of the late US Army Lieutenant Colonel Charles S. Kettlesa prized medal from Honor recipient, EMU alum and resident of Ypsilanti. Building on this commitment, the center expanded its scope of services to veterans in 2015 after Eastern’s receipt of the TRIO-Veteran Student Support Services subsidy from the US Department of Education.
