The Pie Hole: New Kitsilano store now open in Vancouver

The move has been made and the pies came out of the oven last weekend as The Pie Hole completed its move to a new storefront in Kitsilano.

The doors of 2959 W Broadway officially opened to the public on Sunday, April 21, just five and a half weeks after owner Jenell Parsons and her team locked up for good at The Pie Hole’s previous location on West 4th Avenue.

The Pie Hole closed its original Kits store on March 14 (Pi Day) after its lease was terminated last fall and Parsons learned she had to vacate the premises by the end of March 2024. The store opened in 2019.

The new Kits Pie Hole takes over the former Vancouver location of seafood retailer Fresh Ideas Start Here (FISH).

The interior features a large mural reading “Eat Pie,” done in the style of a retro diner sign that Parsons hand-painted.

Parsons took her Pie Hole business from a farmer’s market to its first brick-and-mortar store on Vancouver’s Fraser Street in 2017. The brand has enjoyed tremendous success, with the bakery even being featured on an episode of TV’s beloved Dinners, drive-ins and dives.

The Pie Hole is loved for its signature pies such as Bacon Cheeseburger, Fat Elvis, Earl Gray Cream, Maple French Toast & Bacon, Mac & Cheese, “To Die For” Banana, classic Apple and more, as well as their great holiday and seasonal specials, such as cake coupes.

In addition to the new Kitsilano store, The Pie Hole has locations in Burnaby (on the New West border) and one in Langley.
