Altru Family YMCA Launches Silent Auction to Support Youth Scholarship Program – Grand Forks Herald

GRAND FORKS – The Altru Family YMCA online silent auction begins Tuesday, April 23 at 5 a.m. and runs until April 30 at 8 p.m.

Funds raised through this initiative will be earmarked for the organization’s Partner of Youth grant program, which reduces financial barriers for those in need.

Auction items and packages, as well as details and bidding options, can be viewed at the YMCA, 215 N. Seventh St., or online at https://www.32auctions.com/YMCAAuction2024.

Packages include food and dining options, pet supplies and services, clothing, golfing opportunities, hotel stays, photography, professional cleaning services, recreational items, collectibles and more, said Patti McEnroe, membership and marketing director for the YMCA.

“At the YMCA, no one is turned away because of a lack of funding,” McEnroe said. “The YMCA Partner of Youth grant program provides financial support needed for youth, individuals and families in our community to participate in essential programs and services such as childcare, swim lessons, day camps, adult and youth fitness programs, and a healthy and safe place to spend time and be active.

“When we come together to support our neighbors in times of need, we help make our community stronger.”

The Altru Family YMCA has been serving the Greater Grand Forks community for 138 years. The programming and services are designed to meet the needs of individuals and families of all ages, fitness levels and abilities through activities that also include sports, safety certifications and wellness offerings.

Key areas of focus are youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
