It’s not just cats that have nine lives. Winnie is a sweet boxer mix who was rescued by Leominster Fitchburg Animal Control at the end of winter. She had a torn lip, but was otherwise in good health. Because the wound has an unknown origin, this sweet girl has to be quarantined for four months. However, she is not even halfway through this period and is struggling immensely.

The Animal Control Officer explains, “We are looking for a foster home that lives in Leominster or Fitchburg, who has been vaccinated prior to rabies exposure and who can keep Winnie separated from other pets. Absolutely no cats or small animals. We know this is quite a task.”

Sheltering homeless animals shows great kindness to those who don’t have a voice, or who can stand up for themselves.

Winnie has a winning personality and (just like David Bowie) also has two different colored eyes. She is very friendly and very photogenic. And she would love to spend some time with you.
