Veteran Ghanaian musician Nana Acheampong has addressed speculations about his relationship with his daughter Sheila Acheampong.

In a recent interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, the great Burger Highlife denied any underlying issues between him and his daughter.

Rumors of trouble between Nana Acheampong and his daughter

Speculations were doing the rounds on social media that singer Gyakie’s father Nana Acheampong was not on good terms with his daughter Sheila.

The speculation started after the Highlife legend was caught making a hand gesture during an interview with ZionFelix. He seemed to signal the blogger to move on from the topic of Sheila.

The gesture fueled assumptions among Ghanaian social media users, who wondered why Nana Acheampong seemed reluctant to talk about his other daughter, who like Gyakie is also pursuing a music career.

But when he spoke to Nana Romeo, the veteran musician dismissed the rumors and stated that he and his daughter had no problem.

Nana Acheampong emphasized that some things are private and anything said can be misinterpreted on social media. He expressed bewilderment at the attention paid to his hand gesture, which he insisted had no deeper meaning.
