Glitter magazine | Jodie Foster honored with new cement ceremony on wedding anniversary

Jodie Foster is celebrating one of the biggest milestones of her career, and she’s doing it with her wife by her side.

The Silence of the lambs actress was honored by plastering her hands and feet in the ground in front of the TCL Chinese Theater on Friday, April 19, during the 15th annual TMC Classic Film Festival.

Foster, known for critically acclaimed films such as The accused, NyadAnd Contact, received many accolades from friends and other stars. Jamie Lee Curtis, Foster’s best friend, gave a heartfelt speech, along with Alexandra Hedison, Foster’s wife, and Christopher Guest.

During her speech, Foster said the ceremony took place to mark her and Hedison’s 10th anniversary. She thanked Hedison for being “so generous” for “giving up” their special day for the event.

“Like, what are you thinking about? Why didn’t you say no? I love you so much, and I am so grateful for the life we ​​have together,” Foster said.

“We had a good day yesterday, so we kind of got it done yesterday and then we had a whole weekend of fun things to do,” she added.

“I had no idea,” she continues. “I thought it was just a thing for me, because it meant something to me as a kid, but I didn’t realize it was that big of a deal, and all my friends were like, ‘Wait, what? What is going on?’ So it’s pretty awesome.”

“It’s a bit like that Kilroy thing we used to do. If we found wet cement anywhere, we did the little Kilroy. I was here, and I did that,” she recalls. “I mean, I grew up ten blocks from here, so we came here a lot. We came here and I put my little feet in the cement, and yes, it’s kind of a continuation of a tradition, because for me the film business is my family.
