Bam Margera claims self-defense as video footage of street fights emerges

ICYMI…the video shows the ‘Jackass’ star whining about an unknown man. The clip has been circulating online and many of Bam’s fans are speculating that the confrontation has something to do with a tattoo dispute Bam posted on Monday — he calls his latest ink job a “freeway robbery” — but we’re told this is an entirely separate incident.

Bam’s manager Mike Quinn tells TMZ … the fight in question took place last week in LA – and arose when the stranger threatened to kill Bam and his entourage outside the building where Bam was staying.

Mike added: ‘This individual, who had been relentlessly pacing the neighborhood for hours causing trouble by shouting and knocking over bins, escalated the confrontation by punching Margera as he stepped outside to smoke. ‘

We’re told police were called repeatedly but no help came. Mike says someone from Bam’s camp began recording the incident in response to the aggressive harassment.

Bam tells us… “I will not allow myself to be threatened or attacked without defending myself, my friends or people trying to walk past this idiot. I just wanted to neutralize the threat and ensure the safety of my crew.”

His rep tells TMZ that the altercation ended quickly and without injuries, and that the aggressor ultimately left without returning.

This update comes a month after Bam captured on camera getting into a heated argument with a friend Danni Mariewho was concerned about his sobriety at the time.
