Old Pasadena seeks input on strategic plan via online survey Open until May 8 – Pasadena now

Old Pasadena Management District (OPMD), the nonprofit organization business organization that creatively plans, manages and develops Old Pasadena A comprehensive Strategic Plan is currently being drawn up. There is currently an online survey live, and we’re asking for your input on how we can make Old Pasadena the best it can be!

In January 2024, OPMD started work on a new Strategic Plan to be included therein the follow-up campaign for 2025. The Strategic Plan is being put into production together with the consultants from Progressive Urban Management Associates (cougar). The results of this research will inform the Strategic Plan process Unpleasant identify priorities and actions to guide improvements in Old Pasadena next five to ten years. OPMD currently contracts with the City of Pasadena to manage Old Pasadena Business Improvement District (BID). The BID improves the city’s basic services by funding district-wide security, marketing and maintenance programs to ensure a clean, safe, vibrant downtown experience. All operations are funded through annual taxes valuations of private commercial real estate. The offer in Old Pasadena was established in 2000 and recently approved for a ten-year term, renewable in 2025.

This organization is led and managed by a cross-section of stakeholders from Old Pasadena by professional employees. This includes merchants, tenants, property owners, residents and city ​​council, led by 17 volunteer directors. Geographic boundaries of the company Improvement District (BID) consists of Pasadena Avenue to the west, Arroyo Parkway to the

east, Del Mar Boulevard to the south and Walnut Street to the north. OPMD is a 22- block National Register Historic District and includes two historic public parks, Central Park and Memorial Park.
