The Ukrainian army has repelled fifty Russian attacks in the past day

During the day, there were 62 combat engagements along the front lines, with Ukrainian forces successfully repelling most of the attacks in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Novopavlivka and Avdiivka directions, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said.

Russian forces carried out four rocket attacks and 58 air strikes and shelled Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas 100 times from multiple missile launch systems.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian Armed Forces aviation carried out attacks on two anti-aircraft missile systems and on thirteen areas identified as concentrations of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment, the General Staff wrote on social media.

So far, the Russian military’s cumulative combat losses in Ukraine have exceeded 460,000 personnel since February 24, 2022.

In the direction of Siversk and Slobozhanskythe enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, engages in sabotage and reconnaissance activities, and conducts shelling of civilian settlements from Russian territory. In addition, it increases the density of barriers to mine explosions along the Ukrainian state border. More than ten populated areas, including the settlements of Oleksiivka, Myropilske and Stepok in Sumy Oblast, have been targeted by enemy artillery and mortar fire.

In the Kupiansk directionthe enemy did not carry out any offensive operations, but carried out an air strike near Senkove in Kharkov Oblast. More than ten populated areas, including Synkivka, Petropavlivka and Kotliarivka in Kharkov Oblast, came under artillery and mortar fire from Russian forces.

In the Lyman directionThe Ukrainian army repelled fourteen attacks near Novoiehorivka, the Serebriansk forestry in Luhansk Oblast and the settlements of Terni and Torske in the Donetsk region. Another ten populated areas, including Nevske in Luhansk Oblast and Terny, Yampolivka and Torske in Donetsk Region, suffered artillery and mortar shelling.

In the Bakhmut directionUkrainian troops repelled twelve attacks near the settlements of Zolotarivka, Spyrne, Viyivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in Donetsk Oblast, where the enemy tried to improve tactical positions. It also carried out an airstrike near Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast. About twenty populated settlements, including Hryhorivka, Kalynivka, Khasiv Yar and Stupochky in Donetsk Oblast, were shelled by artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Avdiivka, the Ukrainian soldiers foiled ten attacks near the settlements of Novobakhmutivka, Semenivka, Umanske, Yasnobrodivka and Netaylove in Donetsk Oblast, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to drive Ukrainian units from their positions. The Russians carried out air strikes in the areas of populated settlements Novokalinove, Berdychiv, Oleksandrivka, Semenivka and Illinka in Donetsk Oblast. More than ten settlements, including Ocheretine, Novobakhmutivka and Umanske in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Novopavlivka, the defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the villages of Heorgiivka, Novomykhailivka and Urozhaine in Donetsk Oblast, where the enemy tried to break the defense of Ukrainian troops twelve times. Russian forces carried out airstrikes near Kostiantynivka, Novomykhailivka and Urozhaine in the region.

The enemy also maintains its intention to expel Ukrainian units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. in the Kherson direction, the general staff said. During the day they carried out four unsuccessful attacks on the positions of Ukrainian forces near the settlement of Krynky in Kherson Oblast. Russian invaders carried out airstrikes near the villages of Novoberislav and Berislav in the region.
