FUN PHILIPPINES TORONTO FOOD AND MUSIC FESTIVAL

In keeping with Toronto’s summer spirit of hosting the biggest events, Harbourfront Center on Toronto’s central waterfront will play host to a highly regarded Philippine festival. FUN PHILIPPINES TORONTO FOOD AND MUSIC FESTIVAL celebrates its third year with an extensive showcase of all things Filipino in one of Canada’s top tourist destinations.

A co-production of Harbourfront Center and Philippine Legacy and Cultural Alliance (PLACA), this year’s theme is “Experience the Philippines: Pearl of the Orient Seas.”

Colorful and expressive folk dances, musical extravaganza and lively parades will make their way from Friday to Sunday, defining the Philippines as a land of celebrations, a renowned tradition at the heart of Philippine culture.

This year promises a more fun and meaningful experience as great focus is placed on the unique flavors, history and cultural heritage of the Philippines. With Harbourfront Center serving as an international hub for contemporary art, culture and ideas, Fun Philippines will be a cultural enclave of authentic Filipino cuisine, indigenous arts and crafts, vibrant colorful costumes, community film screenings and striking cultural arts and heritage exhibitions.
