Huck, the purebred bloodhound just arrived at the shelter

If you’re excited to pet long, soft dog ears, we have the perfect pet that you can adopt or stop by the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People in Tyler, Texas, and visit Huck just to get his ears to pet!

As soon as you come over and stroke those long, soft, 100% purebred Bloodhound ears, you’ll want to adopt Huck.

Huck is a three-year-old boy who fits every description of a Bloodhound. He is large and barks quite loudly and deeply.

Gayle Helms, executive director of Pets Fur People, describes Huck as a “gentle giant.” This big guy enjoys the company of other dogs, he is leashed and partially house trained.

Huck was raised as an indoor pet, so he will have to remain an indoor man. He knows some basic commands and plays well with older children. Above all, Huck is just a huge couch potato.

All Huck is looking for is someone who will cherish and love him just as much.
