Oil prices are stabilizing, tensions in the Middle East remain current

04-23-2024 10:37 am

Ammon news – Oil prices rose slightly on Tuesday, after falling the previous session, as investors continued to assess the risk from geopolitical concerns in the Middle East.

Global benchmark Brent crude futures were trading 18 cents higher at $87.18 a barrel by 0634 GMT, and US West Texas Intermediate crude futures also rose 16 cents to $82.06 a barrel.

Both benchmarks fell 29 cents last session on signs that a recent escalation in tensions between Israel and Iran had little short-term impact on oil supplies from the region.
