Tree falls, man pins at popular tourist spot in Kyoto

KYOTO – On April 23, a man became trapped under a fallen tree on Sanneizaka Hill, a famous landmark here.

According to the local fire brigade, the man was conscious, but bleeding and unable to walk. Around 11:45 a.m. the tree fell on the man

Located near Kiyomizu Temple, Sanneizaka, also called Sannenzaka, in Kyoto’s Higashiyama Ward, is one of the city’s most popular tourist destinations, attracting visitors from Japan and abroad.
