Gurugram: Man stabbed to death by two drug addicts, suspect arrested by police | Crime news

Two drug addicts allegedly murdered an employee of a private company in the early hours of Tuesday. The incident took place in Sector 37 of Gurugram. Police arrested both suspects shortly after the murder and upon questioning they confessed to their crime. According to police, the murder happened after an argument between the victim and the suspect.

Gurugram: A 30-year-old man working for a private company was allegedly stabbed to death by two persons in the early hours of Tuesday, police said. The suspects are both drug addicts, research shows. The killing occurred after an argument, police said.

Deceased stabbed in the chest

The police have arrested both suspects. The duo was arrested just hours after committing the murder and an FIR was registered against them at the Sector 10 A police station.

Police identified the victim as Avinash alias Rikki, a native of Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh. The man worked in a private company and lived near Khandsa in Gurugram. According to police, he was stabbed around 1 a.m.

The incident happened near the T-point in Sector 37 when the victim was returning home after work. The two men met him and started misbehaving with him. This led to a verbal fight between them (victim and suspect). After the argument, the duo stabbed Rikki three times in the chest before fleeing. According to the police, the man was lying injured in the street. The man was rushed to PGIMS, Rohtak, but could not survive, they added.

The FIR was filed by the deceased’s father Bijender Singh. The FIR was registered under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. Both suspects were arrested within hours. The men were identified as Mohit and Sandeep, both 25 years old. While Mohit lives in Sector 5, Sandeep lives in Gurugram’s Saraswati enclave.

After interrogation, both suspects confessed to their crime. They indicated that they were heavily intoxicated when they approached the deceased. After an altercation, they stabbed him several times. The suspect and victim did not know each other, police said. Further questioning of both men is taking place, she added.
