Megan Thee Stallion accused of harassment and creating a hostile work environment in a lawsuit

Emilio Garcia, who said he worked as a cameraman Megan Thee Stallion filed a lawsuit against the rapper around July 2018, Pitchfork reports, accusing her of harassment and creating a “hostile work environment.” In the lawsuit, Garcia says he left his previous job in September 2019 to work for Megan full-time, and was “unexpectedly” told in June 2023 that “his services would no longer be required by her.”

Garcia writes in the lawsuit that he was on tour with Megan in Ibiza, Spain, in June 2022, riding with her and three other women in an SUV, and says Megan “and one of the other women began having sex next to ( it ).” He writes that he “couldn’t get out of the car because it was moving and he was in the middle of nowhere in a foreign country,” and says he was “embarrassed, mortified and offended throughout the entire ordeal.”

Garcia says that after the alleged incident, Megan made “fattening comments” to him, told him to “never discuss what you saw,” and that he “noticed a change in the way he was treated and saw a decrease in the number of bookings he has received.” He also says Megan and her management company Roc Nation have not properly compensated him, and claims he has been denied payment for overtime, as well as meal and rest breaks.

Ron Zambrano, an attorney for Emilio Garcia, wrote in a statement shared with Pitchfork“Megan should simply pay our client what he is entitled to, acknowledge her behavior and stop this type of sexual harassment and fat shaming behavior. Emilio should never have been put in the position of having to sit in the car with her while she had sex with another woman. ‘Inappropriate’ is putting it lightly. Exposing this behavior to employees is definitely illegal.”

Megan has not commented at this time.
