Denver wins fifth consecutive Summit League title in dominant fashion

MAYETTA, KS – The University of Denver women’s golf team won its fifth consecutive Summit League title Tuesday afternoon at Firekeeper Golf Course in Mayetta, Kansas.

The Pioneers earned the win in dominant fashion, shooting 14 under, followed by Oral Roberts in second with 28 left and St. Thomas and South Dakota State rounding out the podium with 44 left.

All five Pioneers finished in the top 10 of the individual standings, with Clara Gestsdottir shooting a career-low, 66, in the final round to claim the title.

The NCAA Selection Show takes place tomorrow at noon MT and will determine where the Pioneers will play on May 6-8.
