Mobile health clinic travels to the North Ed Career Tech Center in Traverse City

GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) — Some engineering students in Grand Traverse County have gotten hands-on experience thanks to a mobile health bus.

Central Michigan University’s Mobile Health Central unit made the trek to northern Michigan on Tuesday.

This is the first time the unit has stopped at the North Ed Career Tech Center.

Both CMU students and staff presented the mobile health care unit as part of commencement week at Northern Michigan, whose team is innovation in rural health care.

Career technology students in the health sciences got to see firsthand how audiology relates to healthcare and how it can benefit a patient’s care.

Audiology students showed the different parts of the mobile care unit and explained their field of expertise to health sciences students.
