Bjp manifesto: Bjp releases manifesto for Dk district | Mangaluru News

Mangaluru: Tamil Nadu BJP chief Annamalai on Tuesday released the Navayuga Navapatha manifesto of Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency BJP candidate Captain Brijesh Chowta at the BJP office in Mangaluru. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the BJP has honored all 795 points mentioned in the BJP central party manifesto of 2019. Chowta’s manifesto focuses on nine areas: Infrastructure and Connectivity, Industry and Investment, Startups and Entrepreneurship, tourism, Nari Shakti, culture and heritage, agriculture, livestock and fishing, youth and connectivity, coastal development and security. During his speech, Chowta termed the manifesto as a ‘task sheet’ to achieve Viksit Dakshina Kannada on the lines of Viksit Bharat by 2047. “My first priority after winning will be to complete all the ongoing central government projects in the district and address the connectivity issues between Mangaluru and Bengaluru. This requires a strategic mix of infrastructure improvements and technological innovations, while also keeping environmental challenges in mind. An all-weather connectivity road between Mangaluru and Bengaluru is my priority,” he said. Captain Chowta said the “Back to Ooru” initiative among startups and entrepreneurship aims to bring back our people to our hometown who have successfully established businesses across the country over the decades. This is intended to encourage them to set up businesses here to generate employment in the region. He also promised to make efforts to set up a film city in Dakshina Kannada, a Sainik school named after Rani Abbakka, efforts for an NIA and forensic investigation center aimed at dismantling the terror network and keeping watch over the increasing cases of terrorist activities on the coast. As part of the promotion of culture and heritage, he hopes to start a traditional medicine center named after Deyi Baideti to preserve and promote the region’s traditional medicine knowledge systems.
