WhatsApp Business will soon let users add messages directly to notes

WhatsApp is developing a new feature that will allow users to save messages in notes, as reported by WABetaInfo. This upcoming addition to Meta’s messaging app is expected to debut in a future update and will allow users to easily add specific messages to their notes. According to the report, this functionality will be accessible within the message options, giving users a seamless way to add selected messages to their notes.

This streamlined approach to note-taking eliminates the need for manual note-taking within chat info screens, giving users a more organized method to manage their conversations.

It’s worth noting that this feature appears to be primarily aimed at business users, indicating that it may not be immediately accessible to regular users after release. Nevertheless, the inclusion of this feature underlines WhatsApp’s ongoing efforts to improve user experience and productivity within its platform.

The WABetaInfo report said: “The shortcut to add specific messages to notes adds a layer of convenience to the user experience as it allows businesses to easily capture and reference relevant details shared in conversations without opening the chat info screen . By simply selecting the desired message and adding it to a note, companies can save important details without having to manually enter information.”

WhatsApp rolls out update to show recently active users

WhatsApp is also working on a new feature that will allow users to check contacts who were recently online via the contact page. This latest functionality was first noticed during beta testing and aims to inform users about which contact of theirs is currently active or was recently active.

The latest update is expected to give users a faster way to connect with friends, family or colleagues who are currently available for a quick chat. This new addition, called the Recent Online Contacts tab, was initially discovered only by WABetaInfo.
