Victoria Beckham gets a lift from David and giggles after her… current trends

Victoria Beckham partied until the early hours on Saturday night as she celebrated her 50th birthday surrounded by her family and famous friends.

The Spice Girl was voted ‘the best night ever’ and had to be carried out of the swanky Mayfair private members club Oswald’s by her husband David at 2.30am.

Due to her recent foot injury, the star relied on crutches for her glamorous entrance hours earlier, but she had her husband on hand for a piggyback ride as the evening drew to a close.

Giggling behind her heavily tinted sunglasses, Victoria was pressed against her family after being carried into the waiting car.

David, who will reach the same milestone next year, was without a coat as the family headed home.

Chic Mayfair private members club Oswald’s was the venue for what turned out to be a decidedly elegant black tie affair tonight, with 100 guests enjoying dinner, sparkling water and cocktails – and dancing until the early hours.

But what made the night particularly special for the birthday boy, friends said, was having all the Spice Girls in the same room.

That and a touch of Hollywood glamor in the form of Tom Cruise and actress Eva Longoria.

Even Geri Horner showed up with a smile, one of the last to arrive after seemingly putting the ‘sexting’ scandal surrounding her husband, Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner, behind her.

However, he was absent due to work commitments. Emma Bunton arrived with husband Jade Jones, followed closely by Melanie Chisholm and Melanie Brown.

“It meant a lot to Victoria that they were all there,” said a friend. ‘They were a big part of her life and they shared so much together.

‘They were special days and it was of course great for her to have them there on the occasion of her 50th. It made everything so perfect.”

The party was just one of many celebrations to mark her half-century, which fell on Wednesday.

Husband David Beckham chartered a plane to fly close family to the south of France for a £200-per-person dinner at La Colombe d’Or in Saint Paul de Vence, later returning to Luton airport.

Tonight’s party started at 6pm with pre-dinner drinks at the Beckhams’ £25 million mansion in Holland Park, west London.

Victoria opted for a light green floor-length dress from her own range, while daughter Harper, 13, chose a cream camisole-style dress, also from her mother’s collection.

Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz all wore Dior, while David was dressed in luxury Italian brand Loro Piana.

Brooklyn’s Nicola Peltz was forced to miss the event after her grandmother suddenly fell ill and she rushed to be by her side.

Alongside the photos shared to Instagram, Victoria wrote: ‘I can’t wait to celebrate with my friends and family! I love you all so much!’

There was one small problem: despite her best efforts, Victoria’s broken foot had not healed enough for her to drop her crutches.

But she could trade her moon boot for stilettos. Guests enjoyed ‘Italian inspired platters’ for starters and main courses featuring steak and sea bass.

No expense was spared and reportedly £3,000 bottles of Posh’s favorite Chateau Mouton Rothschild were served, alongside £500 bottles of champagne.

Victoria also received a huge birthday cake.

Her husband paid tribute to his wife of almost 25 years before all four of their children stood up to talk about their mother.

A source told The Sun ‘there wasn’t a dry eye in the house’ as they spoke about their love for the pop singer turned fashion designer – while also joking about the birthday girl.

They added: ‘David really squandered the money. He wanted it to be extra special for her because she always makes so much effort for everyone.”

The music came from the trendy DJ collective Hale Zero, where guests took to the dance floor en masse.

The guest list included the Beckhams’ best friends Gordon and Tana Ramsay, Jason Statham and wife Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, plus Guy Ritchie and dancer Marc Anthony who flew in from Miami.

Others included former Vogue editor Edward Enninful and Victoria’s hairdresser Ken Paves, who did her hair for her big night.

David’s best friend David Gardner also made an appearance, as did his former Manchester United teammate Gary Neville, with his wife Emma.

Actress Salma Hayek was also glamorous for the evening.

Tom Cruise’s presence surprised many of the guests, although he made an entrance by bumping into a photographer, causing the man to fall over.

His estranged daughter Suri was photographed in New York City last week celebrating her 18th birthday.

She was seen holding a birthday present with a friend Scientologist dad filmed the latest Mission: Impossible 3,500 miles away in Britain.

A friend of Victoria’s said: ‘She has been raving about this for weeks.

“It was perfect to have all those people in the same room.”
