Chopper Crash: Baringo Pastor Mourns Generous KDF Soldier Who Helped Her Build Church

Pastor Daisy Talaa has mourned her friend, Colonel Duncan Keitany, who died along with Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) Francis Ogolla in a helicopter crash in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

Talaa expressed her sadness during an interview with TUKO.coke, saying that she had lost a generous, loving and kind friend who had stood by her in times of need.

“He was like a brother to me. My life story is not complete without mentioning him. I mourn my brother, my blood Colonel Duncan Keitany. He was one of the people who made my dreams of owning land and a car come true. This cannot be erased even in death,” she said.

Who was Colonel Duncan Keitany?

During her low points, Keitany enjoyed helping her family and supporting her ministry.

β€œHe supported my family and the work of God together with his wife Norah. This was one of the reasons why I moved from Eldoret to Baringo to work in ministry. He supported the work of God with all our hearts,” said she.

Talaa further disclosed that Keitany not only donated a piece of land for the church, but also helped establish her church, Kingdom Aflame, in Eldama Ravine.

“He donated land to the church, we founded the church with him. The success I have today is thanks to Keitany. I am devastated and heartbroken, I have lost a brother in him.”

The deceased soldier was a devout Christian who participated in church activities.

Photos shared by the pastor showed the late soldier in the presence of God, singing and worshiping with other congregants.

“He supported the work of God in his capacity with all his heart. The crusades, conferences, church projects, public address systems, church wagons, he is part of the foundation of God’s work in my life. Let me mourn this brave soldier.” she continued.
