Gardaí are seeking witnesses after a daylight robbery on the busy Kildare motorway

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a robbery on the N7 Southbound, Kill, Co Kildare yesterday afternoon, Saturday 20 April 2024.

At approximately 2 p.m., a female driver entered the hard shoulder between Junction 7 and Junction 8 southbound.

A second car parked in front of her and a man exited this vehicle. After an altercation, the male suspect stole some personal items from the woman’s car and fled the scene.

The female driver did not report any serious injuries after the incident. No arrests have been made at this time.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.

All road users who were traveling on the N7 between 1.45pm and 2.15pm on Saturday afternoon, particularly between junction 7 (Kill) and junction 8 (Johnstown), and who may have CCTV footage (including dashcam) are being asked to make it available to gardaí.

Investigations are underway.
