Two boys arrested after a 15-year-old was injured in a stabbing near the bus station in Leicester

Two boys have been arrested after a 15-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed in Leicester last night (Saturday, April 20). Leicestershire Police said a call was made to Charles Street, near Haymarket bus station in the city centre, just before 10pm.

The victim was found with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering. It said he was taken to hospital for treatment.

After investigation, it turned out that two boys, aged 15 and 16, had been arrested on suspicion of intentionally causing grievous bodily harm. Police said both boys remain in custody as the investigation into the alleged incident continues.

Pictures from LeicestershireLive show parts of the bus station at Belgrave Gate and Charles Street were cordoned off by police following the incident. Detective Inspector Dan Robberts, from the police’s Complex Investigation Team (CIT), said: “This incident happened in the city centre, close to the bus station.

“Although we have already spoken to a number of people, I am appealing to anyone who can help, but has not yet spoken to police, to come forward. I would like to speak to anyone who may have filmed something on their mobile phone or who may have seen a group of teenage boys in the area.
