A look inside Carrie Johnson’s lavish trip to Morocco with all three kids

Carrie Johnson enjoyed an idyllic family vacation in Morocco last week. Taking to Instagram, the 36-year-old – who shares three children with husband Boris – gave fans a glimpse of her travels with Wilfred, three, Romy, two, and nine-month-old Frank.

“Last week – before I became a duck mom (!) – @annaelerihart and I took the kids to Morocco for a few days,” she captioned a carousel of photos.

“We stayed in a little guest house that I’ve been going to for over 10 years, so it was really cool to go back with my gang, even though poor Frank spent most of the time in childhood hell. One night he saw looking so bad I almost fell asleep I was so worried seeing the little ones in pain and still no sign of nasty teeth!”

Among the comments, fans noted how quickly Carrie’s children are growing up and sent their best to little Frank.

Judging from their photos, the family made the most of their time in Morocco; visiting camels in the desert, enjoying a spot of al fresco dining, trying fresh pastries and going to markets full of vibrant pottery.

Absent from the photos was Carrie’s husband Boris, but while the politician was absent from their last outing, he joined them on their ski trip in March. The mother of three gave us serious travel envy with endless photos of snow-capped mountains, explaining that they had been to La Rosiere in Montvalezan, France so their eldest children – Wilf and Romy – could take ski lessons.

“Skiing with 3, 3 and under is not for the faint of heart and I wondered if we were a little crazy to try it, but when I asked here a lot of you said you’ve done it and should go for it – and I’m so glad we did!” Carrie wrote the caption.

“We went to La Rosiere which was great, especially for the little ones. La Rosiere offers private lessons from age 2 and ski school from age 3. I think that’s slightly younger than the average resort so it was perfect for us.

“I got all the kids’ ski equipment from Vinted,” she continued. “Don’t think I’ve spent more than £30 on each child for full ski equipment – jackets, salopettes, goggles, gloves, socks etc. I’ll sell most of it back on Vinted when they outgrow it too.

“It’s certainly not easy, though. Just getting the kids up the mountain, pushing Frank in the buggy, while carrying our skis and theirs, was good training.”

When the family of five are not traveling around the world for luxury holidays, they stay at their beautiful home, Brightwell Manor, a Grade II listed building in the heart of Brightwell-cum-Sotwell, a small village in Oxfordshire. The property is over 400 years old and features nine bedrooms, five bathrooms, six reception rooms and multiple fireplaces, plus a five-acre garden with a castle, moat, tennis court and duck pond, complete with its own family of ducks.
