How Zikoko Celebrated Nigerian Women with Inaugural HERtitude Awards and More

HERtitude ’24 has officially happened and it was nothing short of spectacular. This year’s event was a vibrant celebration of Nigerian women in a safe space where they could express themselves freely, make new connections and party ’til they dropped.

One of the highlights of the event was the inaugural HERtitude Awards, which honored exceptional Nigerian women making waves in the worlds of business, art and fashion. These awards underscore Zikoko’s commitment to recognizing and celebrating the achievements of women across the country. And the winners are:

The HERtitude Leadership Excellence Award 2024 used to be sponsored by the Women In Leadership Advancement Network (WILAN). The award went to Damilola Olokesusi, the Founder/CEO of Shuttlers, for her outstanding leadership and innovation in the transportation sector.

The HERtitude Fashion Icon of the Year Award, sponsored by Flying Fish, was awarded to Nonye Udeogu, the beloved fashion influencer behind “This Thing Called Fashion”, for her trendsetting style and influence.

The Zikoko HERtitude Creative Visionary Award went to Morenike Olusanya, a visual artist and creative entrepreneur, for her exceptional creativity and global impact on art and creativity.

The HERtitude Entrepreneur of the Year Awardmade possible by our main sponsor Sparkle, went to Damilola Bello (AKA Dammy B) for her dedication to promoting independence and inspiring fellow women in business.

finally, the HERtitude Hottest Babe Award went to hot babe visitor, Marceline Briggswho was chosen by the public as the embodiment of the HERtitude spirit.

In addition to the prizes, the HERtitude fashion show was a sight to behold with beautiful outfits that wowed the audience. Hot babes paraded the HERtitude catwalk, showing off their creative styles and inspiring everyone to step up their game.

The live performances were electrifying, with Lifesize Teddy, Kold AF, Kevwe, Rukmani and more keeping the energy high with their infectious, crowd-pleasing sets. The music was just the beginning; attendees also enjoyed scavenger hunts, karaoke, board games and the highly anticipated afterparty hosted by DJ Kiss.

HERtitude ’24 was a powerful reminder that women are creative, hardworking, and unstoppable. Zikoko’s goal was to create a space where women feel valued, understood and motivated to be the best they can be, and this year’s festival achieved just that.
