Jagannath University is switching to online classes due to health risks due to heat

Amid the heat wave sweeping the country, Jagannath University has opted for online classes to avoid the health risks of the students.

The university has announced that it will hold lectures online from Monday to April 27. Any tests scheduled during this period will be postponed to another time.

The decision was taken at 11 a.m. during an emergency meeting of the university administration chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Sadeka Halim, reports bdnews24.com.

Earlier, a notice from the Public Relations Office of Dhaka University stated that online classes will continue until further notice. However, scheduled tests would be administered in person.

Moreover, the colleges under the National University have been closed indefinitely.
