Pasadena Humane Wiggle Waggle Walk & Run closes on streets Sunday – Pasadena Now

A stretch of Seco Street between Arroyo Boulevard and Rosemont Avenue will be closed to traffic on Sunday, April 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. for the annual Wiggle Waggle Walk & Run, the premier fundraising event for the Pasadena Humane Society.

According to the city, westbound traffic on Seco St. will be diverted to Rosemont Ave., and eastbound traffic on Seco St. will be diverted south to Arroyo Blvd.

The charity walk and 5K run, which attracts hundreds of participants and their canine companions each year, will take place at nearby Brookside Park. Proceeds from the event support Pasadena Humane’s animal welfare programs, including foster care, a kitten shelter, wildlife rehabilitation and more.

According to Pasadena Humane, the Wiggle Waggle Walk & Run is critical to the organization and serves as a major source of funding for its lifesaving programs. The event’s success will help the 121-year-old nonprofit continue its mission to provide care and support to thousands of animals in the community each year.

During the road closure, westbound traffic on Seco Street will be diverted to Rosemont Avenue, while eastbound vehicles will be diverted south to Arroyo Boulevard. Motorists are advised to avoid the area during the affected hours on Sunday morning if possible.

In addition to walking and running around the Rose Bowl, the event will also include a vendor village with giveaways, a dog costume contest, an agility course and other family-friendly activities. Participants can register individually or as a team, with a minimum donation of €50.

Founded in 1903, Pasadena Humane is a comprehensive animal welfare organization offering adoptions, veterinary care, dog training and community outreach programs. Each year it provides services to improve the lives of animals and their human companions in the greater Los Angeles County area.
