Theresa Nist’s daughter reveals feelings towards Turner’s family

The debut season of “The Golden Bachelor” led to an engagement and quick wedding for Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist. Unfortunately, it also led to a quick divorce announcement. As the dust settled on Turner and Nist’s split revelation, her daughter shared some sweet sentiments via Instagram.

Jen Woolston had the “greatest experiences” meeting Turner’s family

On April 17, Nist’s daughter, Jen Woolston, shared a photo from the wedding on her Instagram page. The photo showed Turner and Nist surrounded by their children, grandchildren and their children’s spouses. Everyone was wearing their wedding clothes and smiling.

In her caption, Woolston wrote: “I had nothing but the most wonderful experiences when I was with Gerry and his family.”

Woolston continued, “I will forever hold in my heart the days when we were officially family, and I will always consider them family.”

One of Turner’s daughters, Angie, responded very quickly. “Right back to you Jen! You will always be family to us too!!”

After the finale of “The Golden Bachelor” and during the couple’s engagement period and wedding, Turner and Nist talked about how close their families had become.

Angie and Woolston went back and forth some more in the comments section of the new Instagram post. Nist’s daughter tagged Angie and commented, “We’ll see you all again someday. always welcome in (New Jersey)!!”

Angie replied, “You’re always welcome here in Indiana too! Or we can take the boys to a Hawkeye game!! Woolston insisted: “We would love to do it… we will make it happen!”

Nist also commented, responding to Angie: “Yes, always!!!”

‘The Golden Bachelor’ fans gushed over the families’ closeness to each other

On April 12, Turner and Nist appeared on “Good Morning America” and announced their decision to divorce.

The finale of “The Golden Bachelor,” featuring the couple’s engagement, aired on November 30, 2023. The couple married during a televised event on January 4.

Nist returned to Instagram for the first time after announcing their divorce on April 15. She wrote a long caption thanking those who supported her. She also noted that “The Golden Bachelor” was “one of the most incredible experiences of my life.”

As of this writing, Turner has not posted on Instagram since the interview with “Good Morning America.” For now, it doesn’t seem like there’s been a wave of families unfollowing each other on Instagram. Even Turner and Nist still follow each other.

A Woolston supporter commented: “Your mother raised you well. Just like the Turner mother raised her daughters right!”

Another wrote: ‘Beautiful. We have been fans of your mother since day 1 and wish her nothing but love, joy and happiness!”

“I’m sorry things didn’t work out between Theresa and Gerry, but how nice that you all have developed a bond that comes from a unique situation and I hope you stay connected,” someone else shared.

Nist’s daughter-in-law added: “I loved getting to know our new family. We will always have the cutest sisters.” She tagged Woolston, Angie and Turner’s other daughter, Jenny. Angie replied: “SISTERS!!!!! I love you all and it’s only right to come!”

“You are all a class act! I am so proud of you all in the way you have handled the pressure and public comments. It was a beautiful story with a twist. It will forever remain a beautiful story in my heart,” said another supporter.
