Services Monday for Onondaga County Sheriff’s Lt. Hoosock

Onondaga County Sheriff’s Lt. Michael Hoosock will be buried Monday.

Public services for Hoosock will take place at 11 a.m. at the Expo Center at the New York State Fairgrounds

Hundreds of family members, friends and law enforcement officials are expected to be there to say their goodbyes.

Hoosock was killed last Sunday evening along with Syracuse Police Officer Michael Jensen in the city of Salina.

“Hootch,” as he was known to friends, was a 22-year veteran of the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office and was named Deputy of the Year in 2012.

Jensen was buried on Saturday in Rome, New York
