In response to the article “New owners look to build on the golf course’s strengths” (Recorder, April 19), I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Snow family on their purchase of Thomas Memorial Golf & Country Club. I know the family and know the Country Cub will be in good hands. The improvements they plan to make to the property can only improve the golfing experience there.

They also own the Northfield Golf Club and according to the article: “The Snows plan to create a ‘synergy’ between the two courses by having both properties use the same computer and POS (point of sale) systems, and a some of the more expensive equipment available at both courses. Staff will also be trained to the same standards at each golf course, creating greater fluidity.” This can only be a good thing for both golf courses.

It’s nice to know that a local family has purchased Thomas Memorial Golf & Country Club. This is a win-win situation for all local golfers.
