The Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party has revived the spirit of the party in the Ashanti Region with a consultative, rejuvenating and energetic tour led by the National Youth Organizer, Salam Mustapha.

The tour started on Wednesday April 17th and ended on Saturday April 20th.
Salam Mustapha was accompanied by youth organizers, regional youth organizers and party youth organizers.

The team embarked on media tours to justify why the Ashanti region stood behind Dr. Bawumia should rally. There were tours to approximately 13 constituencies. Discussions were held with targeted youth groups in each constituency to build support for the party’s 2024 campaign.

The team emphasized the need for the region’s youth to not only vote for the party but also actively participate in the campaigns. It also called for the support of the party’s parliamentary candidates in all constituencies in the region.

Some of the constituencies visited include Bosome Freho, Juaben, Agona, Ejura, Kwabre East, Ejisu, Old Tafo, Manhyia South, Manhyia North, Oforikrom and Bantama. Mini-rallies were held in some constituencies.

Salam Mustapha, who led the team, stressed the need for Ghanaians to make a crucial choice in the 2024 polls. Salam Mustapha, in one of the media appearances as part of the tour, noted that ‘the 2024 elections will are about the comparative results of the two most important candidates.’

Salam Mustapha also called on the region to support Dr Bawumia as he is not corrupt.

According to him, cases such as the Airbus scandal and the Ford Saga are indications of corruption on the part of John Mahama.

Salam Mustapha and the team also trained new voters in the Ashanti Region to actively participate in the limited voter registration taking place from May 7 to 27 this year.

The youth commander of the ruling New Patriotic Party used the tour as an opportunity to teach the youth group how to canvass votes.
The team has promised to replicate the same in other regions.
