Star Awards 2024: Unlimited Review of Celebrities’ Outfits – Mothership.SG

Star Awards 2024 were held on April 21 at The Theater at Mediacorp.

Local celebrities walked the red carpet to the delight of their fans and the flickering shutters of harried media personnel straining to get a photo.

So here’s our chance to be the fully (un)qualified fashion police.

Sheryl Ang

What’s not to like about Ang’s appearance? She looks like she effortlessly stepped out of an anime here with her white overcoat and red tie, along with matching red shoes and a handbag to boot.

Combined with her pink makeup, wavy hair, and a bouquet of roses still labeled “FLOWER,” Ang looks almost seamless here.

8/10.

Regene Lim

Lim is giving off strong Yayoi Kusama vibes here with her green polka dot dress and it’s great; we can never get enough of our favorite polka dot artist.

But if you want to channel Yayoi Kusama, it’s better to go the whole way.

That wavy thingamajig behind her? It needs to be bigger, like one of Kusama’s pumpkins – in fact, if it can obscure the people behind her, that’s for the best. If you want to get attention, go all out.

If we can see your chest under your blazer, does that simply mean you’ve decided not to wear an inner shirt?

At least the bird looks cute.

Alfred Sun

While we’re on the subject of bare breasts, Sun decided to add a twist by wearing belts.

He could also have used another strap or two across his chest.

6.5/10.

Zhang Zetong

Magic Mike without denim, chains or leather?

4/10.

However, his baggy, slightly oversized outfit when he won Best Supporting Actor was amazing.

8/10.

Juin Teh

It looks like she found an alien spaceship that crashed, took out one of the metal panels that was damaged by the heat of the impact, and made her own dress out of it.

Delicious.

Wallace Ang

It looks sloppy and sloppy, a major inconvenience when going to the toilet and the most impractical to wear in Singapore’s sunstroke-prone weather, and we absolutely love it.

9/10.

A W

This was K-pop band SHINee’s Onew’s first public appearance after a ten-month hiatus for health reasons, and he marked it with a stylish, subtle and suave outfit.

Impeccable.

8.5/10.

Charmaine Sheh

On its own, a floral dress in beige and pink colors can be quite subdued and easily lost in the crowd compared to some of the other outfits here, but hey, it’s Sheh, and she does it with such poise and elegance that you can’t help but notice you can wear, but pay attention to her outfit.

8.5/10.

Hong Huifang

THIS is what we mean by attracting attention: that huge white rose on Hong’s collar.

Hong looks absolutely stunning here, with her blonde pixie-style hair and black outfit with white outline.

9.5/10.

Conclusion: All in all, many more great outfits than this time!
