AfriLabs, Intel Corporation and Prosper Africa launch innovative initiative to boost impact ventures – Africa Science News

AfriLabs, in partnership with Intel Corporation and Prosper Africa, is proud to announce the launch of the Intel Community Reach Program, aimed at addressing critical social challenges in underserved African communities. By harnessing the power of artificial intelligence (AI) and broadband connectivity, this initiative aims to strengthen communities and drive positive change in key sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, environmental services, fintech solutions and digital skills preparedness.

The initiative focuses on several key areas, including improving access to quality education, particularly in STEM fields, to empower future generations; improving healthcare services and accessibility to ensure the well-being of communities; boosting agricultural productivity and sustainability to address food security challenges; implementing solutions to limit environmental degradation and promote sustainability; promoting financial inclusion and access to innovative fintech solutions for underserved populations; and equip individuals with the digital skills needed to thrive in the modern economy.

Organizations, enterprises, startups, SMEs and institutions working to address social challenges using AI and/or broadband connectivity are invited to apply. Projects must be located in African Union member states and serve vulnerable populations in disadvantaged areas. Selected projects will receive technical, consultancy and financial support from Intel, AfriLabs and Prosper Africa to bring their innovative ideas to life.
