Alicia Keys Wows in JPG Denim With Michelle Obama at ‘Hell’s Kitchen’

Alicia Keys channeled her early 2000s era wearing Jean Paul Gaultier on Saturday in New York at the opening night of “Hell’s Kitchen,” her new musical on Broadway at The Shubert Theater.

For the special occasion, Keys wore the brand’s cropped conical denim jacket, which featured an indigo blue color, contrasting lingerie topstitched details. The look was a nod to the denim-on-denim looks she used to frequently wear in the earlier years of her career.

Also donning a matching pair of tapered jeans that flared out slightly towards the bottom, the style was rounded out by a sleek pair of black pointed-toe pumps. The artist further styled her all-denim look in a loose wavy hairstyle that was pulled away from her face. She kept makeup light, wearing dewy foundation, purple eyeshadow and clear lip gloss.

“Hell’s Kitchen” is a jukebox musical, with a book by Kristoffer Diaz and music and lyrics by Alicia Keys. The show is semi-autobiographical, telling the story of Keys’ upbringing in Manhattan in the 1990s. First debuting in November 2023 and wrapping up its first run at The Public Theater in mid-January, the show is now back for a second run on Broadway, with the original principal cast reprising their roles.
