NASFAT gives members a deeper knowledge of Islam

As part of efforts to ensure that Muslims are well-rooted in the knowledge of Islam and avoid misconceptions surrounding the religion, the Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society of Nigeria, NASFAT Missionary Institute, NMI, in collaboration with NASFAT Oyo Zone 1 organized a train journey -the Trainers Course in Ibadan.

The course, which is in its fourth edition, was held at the Mariny Schools Oloje-Ataba, Soka area of ​​Ibadan.

The Chairman of NASFAT Oyo Zone 1, Alhaji Abdurasaq Fadahunsi, noted that misconceptions such as the misinterpretation of Jihad and the relegation of women to the background in Islam were some of the reasons why the program was organised.

Alhaji Fadahunsi said Islam is a religion that teaches how to be fair to everyone in society, including women and children.

Dawah Coordinator for Women in NASFAT Oyo Zone 1, Hadjia Sadiat Azeez, said the programme, which was dialogue in nature, was also a way to ensure that the trainees would be able to provide answers to deep questions as religion knowledge is paramount emphasizes.

Similarly, the Chairman, NASFAT, Moniya Branch, Alhaji Olakunle Amoo said the knowledge acquired during the training would be useful all over the world when it comes to Islam.

One of the facilitators, Alhaja Faosat Lawal and Secretary, Women Affairs, NASFAT Oyo Zone 1, Aljaha Kadijat Busari, emphasized the need for Muslims to seek knowledge as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) when he was alive.

Our correspondent added that the two-day program concluded on Sunday with a closing ceremony and among those present were the Deputy Director, Information Communication Technology, ICT, Radio Nigeria Ibadan Zonal Station, Aljaha Wasilat Salami.
