Zendaya’s cut-out dress is held together by a single thread…

Let’s just take a moment to realize that Zendaya literally never misses? Whether she’s wearing a deep green dress adorned with a tennis ball or a cyborgic vintage Mugler look, she always looks iconic.

The actress and style icon continues her fashion grand slam — aka the press tour for the upcoming love triangle tennis film Challengers — and in her latest look, she’s wearing a custom Jacquemus fit that’s quite genius.

Specifically, the powder pink dress references multiple decades of style, all seamlessly brought together by the styling of image architect Law Roach. Not sure what we mean? Let’s explain!

Plus, the garment is giving us major preppy 2000s nostalgia with its polo shirt-style collar and short sleeves — which look like the high fashion version of the Abercrombie & Fitch tops we craved back in the day.

Around the midriff, the dress is purely 2020, thanks to some quite large, cut-out cutouts and the single cord that precariously connects the top and bottom halves of the garment.

The bottom half of the dress is reminiscent of the 1960s with a flowing, voluminous skirt with a hem that falls just above the ankles.

When it comes to accessories, however, Zendaya committed to the retro ’60s theme with a pink hair bow and a pair of slingback kitten heels, also in pink. Her hair had loose ends courtesy of hairstylist Ursula Stephen, while makeup artist painted her face with pink blush and eyeshadow.

Possibly one of our favorite Challengers to date!
