Doireann Garrihy and fiancée Mark are taking advantage of the nice weather… for very practical reasons

Dancing with the Stars presenter Doireann Garrihy and fiancée Mark Mehigan took advantage of the beautiful weather for an Irish main course last weekend.

The TV presenter and broadcaster moved into her new home before Christmas, having spent the last 12 months renovating the £490,000 three-bedroom semi-detached home.

Mark has since moved in with Doireann, and the couple will announce their engagement not long after.

As the sun shone across the country this weekend, the pair took the opportunity to get out and do some gardening jobs, tackling the walls in the garden.

Doireann documented the job via Instagram, sharing a clip of Mark wearing all-white overalls and laying a covering on the grass.

She went over to show off her outfit, green shorts with a white sweater, noting, “my fit is too cute for overalls.”

A few hours later, the Dublin resident admitted: “I’m not sure we knew the business before we undertook it, but we’re getting there.

‘I’m going to lunch. We need fuel to keep this thing moving.”

Doireann then gave followers a running commentary on the actual cooking.

She explained: ‘I put one pudding in tin foil and one not, and then we’ll know the best way to make them for the rest of the summer – we’ve cooked them first, of course.’

There was a little pampering session on Saturday night where Doireann shared a video of her wearing a face mask as she joked: *does a day of DIY someday*.

It comes not long after the pair were struck by a bug that left Doireann feeling flushed.

Taking to social media, Doireann warned followers if they saw her get sick on the motorway on the way home from Clare ‘you didn’t do that’.

After the confession, she received a number of messages from people who thought they might have seen her in a moment of need.

“Actually I think I passed you on the N7,” someone posted, to which Doireann replied: “Ahh, fantastic.”
