(Batesville, IN) – The Batesville City Council Monday evening approved a tax break for Trinity Guardion, Inc., which plans to expand its manufacturing capabilities.

The manufacturer of hospital equipment and supplies plans to purchase new equipment and invest $450,000 in its current Eastern Avenue location. In addition, the company wants to hire 35 new employees over the next three years.

Trinity Guardion manufactures a Soteria hospital bed barrier that offers customers an alternative method to reprocess or clean mattresses and beds between patients.

The company says the lead time for the new equipment is twelve weeks, with an expected start-up in September.

The Redevelopment Committee has forwarded the request to the municipal council with a positive recommendation.
